MICROSOFT PRACTICE  ·  Azure

Azure with a under it.
foundation

Cloud assessments and consulting, migration to Azure, infrastructure design, landing zones and governance, backup and disaster recovery, security and compliance, cost optimisation and managed services.

01 THE PROBLEM

What usually brings people here.

A migration that stopped halfway

The virtual machines moved and the project closed. No landing zone, no subscription strategy, no policy baseline — just the old data centre running somewhere else at a higher price.

Governance by convention

Naming standards that exist in a document and not in policy. Resources created by whoever needed them. No consistent tagging, so cost cannot be attributed to anything.

Recovery nobody has tested

Backups configured at some point, restore never rehearsed, and a recovery objective that was assumed rather than agreed with the business.

02 WHAT WE DELIVER

Scope of the engagement.

Assessment and consulting

  • Azure readiness and current-state assessment
  • Workload discovery and dependency mapping
  • Well-Architected review against the five pillars
  • Migration business case and sequencing plan

Migration and infrastructure

  • Rehost, re-platform and re-architect migration paths
  • Infrastructure design and infrastructure as code
  • Networking, hybrid connectivity and DNS
  • Phased cutover with tested rollback

Landing zones and governance

  • Enterprise-scale landing zone deployment
  • Management group and subscription design
  • Azure Policy, tagging and naming enforcement
  • Role-based access control model

Resilience, security and cost

  • Backup design and tested restore procedures
  • Disaster recovery with agreed RPO and RTO
  • Azure security baselines and compliance alignment
  • FinOps practice, reservations and managed services
03 HOW WE ENGAGE

From first conversation to steady state.

01

Assess

Current-state discovery and documentation. Findings before design.

02

Design

Target-state architecture, signed off by your team and ours.

03

Deliver

Phased implementation with tested cutovers and inherited runbooks.

04

Optimise

Review once live — cost, performance, policy and licence fit.

05

Operate

Managed service, or a clean documented handover. Decided upfront.

04 OUTCOMES

What changes when this is done properly.

Described as outcomes rather than numbers. We publish measured figures only where a customer has approved the reference and the measurement method can be stated.

01

The estate has a structure. Management groups, subscriptions, naming and tagging follow a design, so new resources land in the right place with the right controls by default.

02

Cost can be attributed. Tagging is enforced by policy rather than requested by email, so spend maps to teams, environments and workloads without a reconstruction exercise.

03

Recovery is a rehearsed procedure. Recovery objectives are agreed with the business, the restore path is documented, and it has been tested rather than assumed.

04

Operations have a documented owner. Either we run it under an agreed managed service, or your team runs it with runbooks and architecture documentation they were handed deliberately.

Ready when you are.

Every engagement starts with a scoped, documented assessment.
